A healthy morning routine


Hi everyone,

Every Wednesday I am going to be writing a blog post on '5 things to'. Each week will be different and will give you an insight into business, health & wellness, entrepreneurship and mindfullness. I hope you enjoy my first one on 'A healthy morning routine' because what you do in the morning sets you up for the whole day!


1. Drink water I think this is one of the most important steps of your morning routine. Drinking water first thing in the morning firstly, rehydrates your body from your night sleeping. Whilst it does this it is also flushing and purifying your bodies internal system. Your body when you sleep dehydrates and toxins lay dormant in your body so drinking water first thing reboots it and flushes it clean again. This flushing of the system also jumpstarts your metabolism. An all round winner I think!


2. Get dressed & refreshed

There is nothing better than feeling good about yourself. This is why you should ALWAYS use natural and organic products that make you and your body feel great. Just knowing everyday that your products are made from natural ingrediants with no parabens and are SLS free, gives you one less thing to worry about. Getting dressed in something that makes you feel confident will start your day off positively, and will keep that smile on your face all day. P.S. Dress for yourself, not anyone else!


3. Natural veggie & fruit juice Starting your day with a pure vegetable and fruit juice is the absolute best way to provide your body with essential nutrients. Juicing increases your energy level and gives your skin that extra glow. * I will always recommend you to go to your local fruit and veg store compared to the big chains. Mass produced items always have an increased amount of pesticides in them. Oh and don't forget your sustainable re-usable bag :)


4. Exercise

This comes in many forms, and there is no right or wrong way. Do something that makes you and your body feel good, whether this is doing yoga, swimming, running or taking a swift walk. This will keep you feeling revitalised and will ensure greater mental sharpness throughout the day. BONUS - you sleep better!


5. Eat a healthy breakfast

Eating breakfast is so so important. You need to provide your body with sufficient energy to keep you going for the rest of the day. Make it a healthy one with essential vitamins and minerals and you will reap the benefits, which include improvement in memory and concentration level and mood enhancement. * Add hemp seeds, chia seeds, goji berries and crushed flax seeds for extra nutrients!
